Rainbow Community Care Association

RCCA provides a range of social and leisure activities for active older persons and more vulnerable adults:

  • Older Person’s reminiscence and local history project
This project includes visits to local places of interest. The Local History aims to provide older persons with a sense of their place
in the local and wider community from a multicultural perspective. Former service users comment that it helps them feel rooted, connected, to wider society and across the generations.
  • Social Club for people with sight disabilities/ limited vision/registered blind.
The social club is open 3 days per week. Activities are proposed by service users and facilitated by them too! Recent activities
have seen service users engaged in a variety of activities e.g. sewing, poetry on tape, tactile sculpture, craft workshops, music sessions and screen printing. To register your interest click here.
  • Annual Social Reunion
Every April RCCA service users gather at the Community Hall for their annual reunion. Former, current service users, members,
friends and families are all welcome. To register your interest click here.

  • Project for Carers ~ Persons housebound ~ Pensioners
RCCA services aim to encourage motivation, mental stimulation, provide incentives and promote active use of hands and minds. At
our Community Hall our service users learn a variety of useful skills such as clothes making and other creative crafts according to individual interests. For those who simply wish to socialise, RCCA arranges social activities such as quiz nights, an outreach project for
housebound people (with transport provided) and services to support carers.  To register your interest click here.
